"Momma Don't..."

"Don't cry momma...

Believe me
I can understand
why you do...

But please dry those eyes
now I can watch over you...

Don't cry for me momma
you need to be strong to
carry on...

I know my sister needs
you even more now that I'm gone...

Don't cry, instead embrace
the time we had...

Sure there were tough moments,
but I'm hopin' the good outweighed
the bad...

Momma, try to sleep
n' cast away that oppressed dark...

I've asked God to clothe you
n' sister in a deeper faith
so your  'lights' will again spark...

I ask once more,
momma don't cry...

Though a physical me
has moved on, my spirit
will never die...

n' I'm watchin' over you all
in the place I now reside..."
