Image for the poem Little Joys

Little Joys

Little joys
Stretching out little limbs
And destroying things
What a smile
Sunshine

So hard to part with
So hard to give
But when you see the happiness
Of the little kid who gets her
It feels worth it.

She licks the girl’s face.
She likes her, she settles on the kid’s little arms.
It’s goodbye.

It’s like warm sunshine.
