Fantastical
conformed to proper correspondence
fitting me like the tightest of corsets
banishing me with your politeness
I revert to fantasy in life
to escape my harsh
addiction riddled temptation
you were my cocaine
giving me a rush like no other
now my passion is fading
by your cold embrace
not seeing the person I am
intellectualizing a tempest storm
brewing in my nether regions
what's to be done with my fire?
you can't hold back a tidal wave
the tsunami in my panties
my man fucks me hard and with passion
still I see other's faces when the lights go out
being a creative artist
an intellectual demon
you mesmerize me
unique to my mind
having never crossed paths with such a man
falling under your flirtatious spell
I admit to giving into fantasy
imagining what it would like to be in your arms
now I'm awash in disillusionment
no longer stuck in a fantastical world
where there is a you and I
just poetry that fucks you and walks away

Re. Fantastical
Some poets have the talent for conveying intense passion in their lines but are at a loss when it comes to their lives and loves. It might just be their work one might be falling for, not the men themselves. Their dismissal of you be could cruelty or indifference but, either way, the effect is wounding.
" now I'm awash in disillusionment
no longer stuck in a fantastical world"
Maybe you can become stuck there once again, Crim. The real world's overrated.

'poetry that fucks you and walks away.' are you kidding!!
I generally avoid using profanity in my comments,
but that line is so extraordinary I needed to echo it, Crim.
the wonder of it: reading it, saying it, imagining it...

Crim, this is beautiful, soft, sad, intense, sexy, and somewhat a personal plea of emotions.

Great poem Crim, love the opening metaphors. You need to help me understand this, is this poem about love and lust for a "polite" man while you're in a relationship. Or is this the imagination of an artist who fantasizes differently about her man.. or none of the above (haha)

"now I'm awash in disillusionment
no longer stuck in a fantastical world
where there is a you and I
just poetry that fucks you and walks away" .. - I prefer the harsh fucking poetry provides; the ultimate illusion.. an artist must fantasize poetically while the fantasy walks away. Just love your artistic mind when it's inking reality. Love and hugs, blue angel

love this cup brimming with emotions about the reality of fantasy, i think we all fall to the 'fantastical' (beautiful title btw) during points in our life whether it be poetry or movies, songs etc... ideas are one of the most powerful tools we have, you are lyrically talented... not a bad thing to fall in love with...
