Forbidden Love
Those were the coldest lips
It had been nearing for some time
My slow indoctrination
Into you
I thought about you constantly
I didn't think we could be together
We were too different
Polar opposites
We made it work.
Those were the coldest lips.
I longed for you
You called me in my dreams.
I couldn't wait.
But you waited for me
You always were more patient.
I mourned you.
Day after day,
Night after night,
Every waking and sleeping moment
I was consumed by you
But we could never touch.
I'd never be the same.
When we finally met.
I fell into disrepair.
I had to meet you.
I did all I could.
Then I found those cold lips.
And we met.
Those were the coldest lips
Fiery passion
Explosive love
Ripped through my mind
Until no warmth was left within me.
Cold desertion
Dormant hate
Left me bare
I suppose this, is the fate they talk about
Eternal loneliness
Distant comfort.
Somehow.
It didn't quite seem possible.
Such a soft touch
Grew into a cacophony
So immense it could be heard far away
In space
Fire and passion
An explosion of love
Tore through me.
When the rifle blew a kiss
Those were coldest lips.
