I remember

I remember when I was a little kid
gazing at the beautiful blue sky
pondering what I will be like when I'm older"
I hope I'm not a asshole to anyone."  
 
As I grew from being a little kid to a grown teenage
I wonder if my wish was true
I never thought of myself as an asshole
I really haven't made me an image
I'm just me
 
I remember walking to the fields
laying in the green grass
looking up in the beautiful blue ocean
wondering if I'm as sweet as everyone says
The sun puts on its smile and says
"Your one of the sweetest guys anyone's ever known."
I just lay there and see if its true  
 
As I gaze back at the sun
it has hid behind his coat of gray
releasing a series of cries
I put on my hood and go  
 
As I gaze back at the field
puddles everywhere spell out
"Never change who you are
one day you will realize
how you mean to everyone."
All I could do was light a smile and shed a tear and say
"I will stay the same.
"Walking away the sun shines as bright as ever
letting out a smile
as I walk to the future.
