To CY and friendship...
Well, that's life
she said to herself pressing her hands to her throbbing chest
Easy come
Not so easy go
she snorted rueful and torn, rubbing now, pressing where the ache wouldn't subside
This too shall pass...what the hell? Am I now destined to utter every single trite cliche
she mused all inward picking up her phone and starting the poem, writing it down, letting it do what it must
(did you think she was in control here)
Mayhap, one day,
some one
more ready...
Thank you, CY, for showing me somewhat else did exist
for giving me the space and acceptance to be fully who I am for a time
for all the myriad, mystical, miraculous marvels you are and
for sharing who you are with me
I will always love you; we but change the dynamic now: no longer attempting to be lovers, simply friends...
