Absolutely gorgeous poem, Crim, a departure for you.  I've been camping there a few times myself.  Got kind of lost when those towering redwoods blocked the moon and stars late at night.  Didn't have the foresight to carry a flashlight.  Still plenty of majesty when the sun came up, and I learned to be prepared.  Loved this!

funny, i dreampt just the other night i was trapped in an Ansel Adams Photo. Running through his stark black and white world of Yosemite. Chasing my grandmother. It was a nightmare. Perhaps this poem will bring sweet dreams.
