YOUNG SIMBA
Young Simba
Embroidered hope and ambition, haunted by that skin tattoo,
Its infatuating becoming something like inimba (xhosa language: meaning unconditional love)
While my thoughts linger in this Limber
As I tinker and steer this lyricist shimmer
My lines seemed deeper maybe thicker consumed by soulful movements of thoughts shifting the plateaus of inequality
The topic seemed deemer
While I simmer
And my tattoo artist makes the ink thicker
Why does God trust us with such a sticker
These contrasting thoughts infused a worn by our souls like that new sneaker
The topic just flickered
The dime that brought my shine tinkers and lingers
As the light flickers
you realise that 15 seconds of shine ain't a myth
Moving faster than the speed of light
my mind raced to a stand still
Absorption of thoughts its moving side ways
Don't mind the lyrical shake
Remember the shimmer
And don't put on the brakes
I'm steering this stanza like I'm insured by my-way
Well I just did this my way
