i scream.
he comes back.
wraps his cold thick hands around my neck.
only one hand is needed to snap it.
he has no mercy.
choking. weeping.
my lungs feel like they will burst.
my arms go limp.
my eyes close.
and i wait.
wait for the moment he says 'I do this because I love you'
wait for the moment he says 'I never meant to hurt you'
wait for the moment he says 'sorry I was just upset'
wait for the moment he stops.
but it never comes.
