I once worked with a man who used to say to me, occasionally, when a particular woman caught his eye. Terrible of us, I know, to respond in such a way. Twas rather fun, though. We never spoke of one another in such fashion, though, although privately I thought he was quite attractive - okay, hot! ;-*

At any rate, one day he says to me, after I spent time torturing myself with a flat iron (a thing I Never do for I detest such things on my head and refuse to go through them; further, I rather adore my wild curls - I'd done it That day at a friend's behest for she wanted to see just how long my hair really is).

Anyway... my point.

Tis this: that day, because twas so unusual, he commented upon my hair and said it Was quite long, but that he preferred women with wild, untamed curls; said that was smokin'. I never forgot it because of the way he got all shy and sheepish and blushed a bit; I think he felt twas an admission he shouldn't have let out. He was married, we remained friends, naught occurred, but for a brief moment there was that frisson of somewhat extra there...
