Cherry Blossoms

The ephemeral nature of love
Blooms in radiant splendor
Exploding in passionate red lace
Caressed in lines of pink satin
In ecstasy so brief it seems unfair
For so intense a pleasure to die so quietly
After the roar of apogee bursting from your flower
Colored my world in strokes of pure artistry
That paints and brushes have failed to portray
And the ink of verse has earnestly strived to describe
Somehow nothing in nature can compare to the natural flow
Erupting from the depths of your swirling Volcanic storm
Striking my fancy with surging currents of electricity
As thunder booms above clouds of soft silk petals on your tree
Branching out to surround me in your song of springs desire
With the sweetest scent my senses have ever come to taste
Cherry passions bleed, clouding my vision in thick auburn mist
Your fragrance and beauty showers my heart in raging pain
For knowing these fleeting pleasures cannot be sustained
Immortalized in poems spoken in whispers in the dark
I would sacrifice this temporary bliss for one eternal kiss
