Standard Cut Diamond.
I cry a new smile that I wish to remember,
And know how I must paint the sky,
With a journal of honey from the pads of embrace.
And with a sigh of ecstasy - ah - I file,
Consuming my arm with sapphire indignity
Licked on by rubies sharpened with disguises.
I only feel the stars that fall from my hands,
Embossing my fingerprints with precision,
Reminding me I can still touch hearts.
And now the mighty fall from their grace,
The eyes that glint at me from the ground,
This is the future I have dripped for myself.
The subtle difference between prisoner and hostage,
I can leave my mind at any time I wish,
But with a drill bit through my brain.
