The fever finally breaks
as anxiety and restlessness
condense against the edges,
forming dewdrops
onto the surfaces
of skin,
peacefully separated
beyond the beautiful barriers
of lasting sleep.

This does read like a fever dream. I can imagine you penning this while waiting for sleep to arrive. You come up with amazing work that might surface the closer you get to your subconscious. Wonder what Freud would say.

Love the imagery worked here in the condensation metaphor laced into the background horror of insomnia.
