conspiracy of rapture
Silent. her voice is silent in the melancholy drifting
of time; her arms are empty.
she retreats from a history of dismal motel rooms,
one night stands in the company of thugs & vandals,
barbarians who reason that it is proper & just to use
a woman as a tainted receptacle for their steaming
ejaculate. to wipe themselves off & hurry away,
abandoning her in cold sheets & regret.
a woman must be touched, & told that she is beautiful.
in my solitude, I compose gothic ballades of lovers kept
distant by fate. a soldier in the wastelands of loneliness,
I conspire to release her from the bonds of acrimony, to
enkindle the flames of passion in her true heart.
without the vestments of propriety, & without shame, we
would surrender to the brazen delights of the flesh. I will
capture the essence of her by the tender assault of kisses,
at her lips & her throat, at her breasts, at the center of her
well of desire.
we will discover the art of inviolate lovemaking, locked in
the carnal embrace, as we ascend without haste to a
meridian of bursting stars & reckless ecstasy.
seduce me with the quivering chamber of your perversion.
elate me with your moon-cursed eyes, & your vulgar tongue

Very well written. But should always the flesh intrude? ( not that i am complaining) there are other ways too. ( don't ask me, I don't know)

And then "sin" becomes sacred in her true heart, and yours. Tenderness before the fireworks. "A woman must be touched and told she is beautiful." I think that's the center here.

Please, Sir, correct me if I am wrong... but it appears as though you see beauty in pain and suffering, and have a taste for women marked with the indelible touch of darkness.
What a lovely work of art. I must say, you have my admiration - and I openly admit it. Respect, I gladly give freely. But your work warrants more than that.
Well done. Well written. Well thought.

It has reached a point where I can read the verses before you write them on the assembly line ...

when you dig in a coal mine, you will find only coal, not gold or diamonds. you will therefore discover a use for the coal, & you will be content...

I tip my hat to you Mr Feddler, this is clever eroticism. This poem smacks of obsession of someone dancing at the tip of your fingers, someone who offers a funhouse mirror to one's own soul.
The final two lines are a fantastic cap-stone to the sizzling pathos you conjure in this piece.
Gold.

To me it reads like a fairy tale, one of those tales where the prince on the white horse is as real as the blameless fallen maid. Enjoyed it!

Intoxicating ink. I'm lost in those moon-cursed eyes, or is it lines. Your coal burns hot, and long! Respectfully, blue angel

A beautiful blend of romance and erotica, John, with a killer last line. The words flowing like a river of sweet, untethered dreams .

Great poem until the last two stanzas which seem to metamorphose the lovers into a much less romantic aura, veering towards a flat refutation of how you portrayed them in the main body of the poem.
