While you were sleeping
they stuck it in your ass
a whole lot of funny business
has been going on they keep
saying everything will be OK
nothing much is wrong
the bad times won't last so long
a bad storm here a big wave there
war poverty disease everywhere
explosions in broad daylight
right before your very eyes
and you think its a cartoon
on TV and nothing much to it
how about that your world you
once knew slipped away from you
while you were sleeping
while you had your eyes closed
