A Haunted Past
Such a naïve little girl. She believed in the beautiful lies that lulled her to sleep each night. They comforted her in times of sadness and protected her like a house in a treacherous storm. However, one cannot be blinded by a false reality forever. Once she dared to unveil the ugly truth, her world, her self-worth, her entire being had crumbled into dust. All she could do was collapse in a heap on the floor of her room and stare into nothingness. No tears could or would ever come out. She was trapped in the real world. A coward that wanted to escape the dangers of life. An innocent child that had just lost her innocence completely in a matter of mere seconds, with those words glued to her memories. This little girl was me.
