Backward Forward
sliding fingers on matte walls
no reflections nothing of the souls
just silence behind made-up pearly curtains
holding back, trembling against the need
the need to touch savour find peace
within an embrace difficult to reach
must not should not could not
everything is wrong, all wrong
I leave that dream so impossible
I need to stick on to sanity
the mundane living breathing
for saying yes is death penalty
a ripple effect destruction
of other souls limpet to your life
I won't scrabble for hold
on a second hand shell.
