Is This How It Feels?
New-Born To A flame
Empty Prescription Bottles
Litter The Floor,
A Hand full
And
A Fifth To Help It Absorb,
All
In Attempts To Appear Alive,
As The Pills Soak In
Mixing
Elegantly Meshing Splendid Feelings
Of Flight
Exciting My Flesh, And Drowning My Brain
-Is This How It Feels?
Corrosively Explicit
Yet
Easily Dismissive-
Chemicals Needed To Live In Deception
Day Turns To Night, Night To Day
Passing The Years In A Fog Of Haze,
Is This How Life Should Feel?
Or Am I Trapped?
In An Exit-less Maze...

I like the repetition of "is this how it feels?"
Also, I like the lines,
"Explicit Yet Easily Dismissive-
Chemicals Needed To Live In Deception".
I thought the existential feel of the ending with the whole no exits thing was pretty cool as well. Only suggestion would be to try not to use ly,
goes a long way toward showing not telling.
All and all, I really liked this though.

I can relate to this, although mines usually a bong these days...anything to numb the feelings a bit. Feeling u man. Great ink
