Understanding
I know you hate me right now
for being a dishonest ex whore
I wouldn't have eaten back in the day
without men like you
not jaded by any means
I felt cherished out there on the streets
wish I could say I was a high class call girl
my self esteem wasn't so great in those days
I love womanizers doesn't make sense to some
though I do my daddy was one and I loved him
he stuck by me when my mom didn't
I love you as you are
though I know you don't feel the same doesn't matter
long as we have an unstated understanding
for being a dishonest ex whore
I wouldn't have eaten back in the day
without men like you
not jaded by any means
I felt cherished out there on the streets
wish I could say I was a high class call girl

"I love you as you are." That's not as easy as it sounds sometimes, but this one's clearly from the heart. Great job, Crim.

Ouch. This reads deep. The past is the past, but can be painful when attached to somebody.
"I love you as you are
though I know you don't feel the same doesn't matter
long as we have a an unstated understanding"
This is strong and beautiful, and also painful, but familiar. I feel this read. Thank you.

It is sad and painful. I see the darkness this originates from. It's very familiar to me. A place I used to dwell in ages ago. I like it Crim.

Many pass through our lives, but few leave
a long lasting impression.
You understand this, Brenda.
You are a very talented realist.

there's a quote in the book i'm reading at the moment that goes... "Call a jack a jack. Call a spade a spade. But always call a whore a lady. Their lives are hard enough, and it never hurts to be polite"...
hun, whether you've been through half the continent on a friday night, ain't no one got the right to make you feel worthless,
unappreciated or unloved. fuck em & shut the door xo
