Deadly and Sublime
Pretending to live,
Dead inside
What must I give,
To feel alive
I've sealed my lips,
In silence I'll die
With a burning kiss,
Bring me back to life
As further and further you drift,
How once you were mine
A warm, loving bliss,
Bodies and souls entwined
Now my soul is stiff,
A heart still pines
Something is amiss,
A deep ache reminds
My love you forbid,
While yours is enshrined
From afar, like a sin,
Your touches at night
I dream of your skin,
A shiver up my spine
It's you that I miss,
You became my lifeline
Like an ambrosial sip,
Together,
we were deadly and sublime
Dead inside
What must I give,
To feel alive
I've sealed my lips,
In silence I'll die
With a burning kiss,
Bring me back to life
As further and further you drift,
How once you were mine
A warm, loving bliss,
Bodies and souls entwined
Now my soul is stiff,
A heart still pines
Something is amiss,
A deep ache reminds
My love you forbid,
While yours is enshrined
From afar, like a sin,
Your touches at night
I dream of your skin,
A shiver up my spine
It's you that I miss,
You became my lifeline
Like an ambrosial sip,
Together,
we were deadly and sublime
