Again I am too stoned,
There she stands alone,
In the blur of everyone...
Now I should approach,
Before it gets too much,
Before I lose the clutch...
This moment could be lost,
At such Eternal Cost,
At such Eternal Cost...
I crave the Immortal’s Plate,
Yet settle in the wait,
Of weathers soft and safe...
Every night I could go on,
Walk off into the dawn,
Forever from here gone...
But something holds me back,
Her tiny little knack,
Causing such a great attack...
Every soul is given choice,
To raise the Roman Lance,
Or sip the Whore’s Chalice...
We learn to leave the clay,
But somewhere down the way,
Settle back to night and day...
In my guess to do things right,
I’ve given up the fight,
For the Eternal Light...
This generation must not lose,
We can’t keep things the way they are...
This generation must not lose,
We can’t afford another round...
This generation must not lose,
It can’t all be again in vain...
This generation must not lose,
I will not let myself get knocked out...

Alright, I mean if I was to pursue my biological life-course strategy more seriously, and spiffy it up to be a relevant income-earning home-owner, then I definitely would be donning a more bland and reasonable title to this piece, maybe something dreadfully plain like "Given up the Fight" or "Must Not Lose", etc. I have no idea how the current title for this came about, but it's the one I'm sticking with...
Notes:
"Roman Lance" refers to the "Spear of Destiny".
"Whore's Chalice" refers to the filthy goblet of the Whore of Babylon in the Book of Revelations (King James Version).
"Immortal's Plate" and "Eternal Cost" are whatever they are...
I should also clarify before I am accursed of hersay, that the Roman Lance / Whore's Chalice part shows a choice between "good and evil". However in the case of the Spear of Destiny, or Spear of Longinus, the Roman spear used to pierce the side of Jesus during his Roman State Execution for "disruptive terrorist behaviours" to the order and peoples of Judea, it would seem that such reference is as equally bad and horrible as the lip smeared goblet of contagious microbial contaminant of the Whore of Babylon. It would seem both choices are equally horrendous and to be avoided! But alas, despite the historical myths surrounding the Spear, despite the Nazi Paranormal Division seeking it out for no good (see the Indiana Jones motion-picture series), the concept of the Spear is in the idea of seeking Excellence and Power, not so much in unhindered geo-political conquest, but in other life aspects such as in the perfected study of the knowledges, sciences and arts, or even in doing well and successful with charitable action and good deed, good wholesome yummy things like that.
So the choice is in either standing up gloriously strong and firm, or slouching away into the disgusting mushes.
