Life for Rent

I've got a life for rent,
And it is going pretty cheap,
It's a little bit damaged and broken,
And it isnt much to keep.
So it's on sale, this life for rent,
It is tattered, ripped, and worn,
As I said before, it's cheap,
Used, abused, and torn.
So it matters not what you do with it,
I'll even give it away free,
I'm just tired of having to watch over it,
I just need to get it away from me.
It comes without a heart and soul,
If that helps decide.
There are some wounds and scars,
And secrets that still hide.
It's not worth much, A penny or two,
Just so you know.
As long as I don't have to see it,
You can just take it and go.
So here it is, a life for rent,
I'll give you the first month free,
I don't care how much you pay,
Just get it away from me.
It's been nineteen years,
And my message is still not sent.
Forever and ever I'll hold this life,
Until someone comes to rent.
