If God Was Right

Verse 1
If God was right
I'd be afraid
For the people who don't even know his name.
They'd burn in hell
For not believing
That belief was all that mattered in his race.
If God was right
How fair is he
If world hunger doesn't even break his heart?
But he answers prayer to his opulent believers
While the rest of us can't help but fall apart.

Bridge
Your sky daddy don't like the texture of your hair
So he sets up life for you to disappear.
Your sky daddy don't like the nature of your dreams
So he tells someone to tell you to believe

Chorus
We're not equal anymore.
We're not human anymore.
Hold my hands.
I'm nothing but a bill
In the bank that kills us all to buy our souls
For a father that don't know he's getting' old.

Verse 2
If God was right
I would be wrong
To believe that everyone had a right to be allowed
To be themselves
No matter how.
Because judgement after death could work somehow.
If God was right
He'd kill my faith
In the people that I know can make a change.
It won't be fair
To grab a ticket straight to heaven
While my siblings burn for simply being gay.

Bridge
Cuz your sky daddy don't like the way they fall in love
So his children are sent out to show them hate.
And your sky daddy don't like the freedom of the mind
So he tells someone to tell you to believe

Chorus
We're not equal anymore.
We're not human anymore.
Hold my hands.
I'm nothing but a bill
In the bank that kills us all to buy our souls
For a father that don't know he's getting' old.

Hook
And if girls in Pakistan
Can be injured just for learning
While he sees it fit to bless you with good grades
Then the people of earth
They will never be the same.
So why is it this God won't show his face?

If God was right
He'd be ashamed.
If God was right,
his love's a waste.
If God was right
I'd choose not to believe him.
Because heaven and hell
Would be the same.
