Connection
I glared hard into your eyes to get you
I cared about every detail of you
You were scared and unsure and I made you feel sure
Our connection is dark and bright
The secret we hold is so deep we cannot speak
The love we make is so spiritual it makes me shake
But then I lost you to the ideas of this world
My heart was lost in this world I became of this world
I am not the same, the world has taught me and I refuse to become game
But the connection is real, and so you reappear
Our secret is a whisper now
When we are together it is real,
but I can never again be sure of what I feel
People telling lies, instill the fear
Then I became those same people, a heart of steel
Loving you lonely
I cry then and now I don’t
The sins of the worlds have taken over me
I try to stay afloat without drowning you
You continue to hold on to me as I give you the love I have left
It is not enough and I know but the connection is what keeps us here
But our love cannot move forward
You afraid of the world's judgment, forget the way we once made each other feel
You won’t let our secret be knowledge
The connection is real so we continues this
We stay secret and hurt each other
We love each other

Love and hurt but the connection is there. I really like this and you described so well
I feel your pain here... As if you let us into one of the most painful situations you've experienced in life. It's sad, living in this world of judgment. I say give into it. Submit to your happiness and nothing else. For life is too short and we must enjoy it while we can. Today they judge us and tomorrow they are nowhere to be found. The most important people in life is ourselves and our loved ones. For our loved ones should care about nothing but our happiness as well. Who cares what everyone else thinks!
And remember, it's better to have love and lost than to have never loved at all.
