The rain is gone

I found a part of myself today ...
that I hadn't seen in  quite a while

While looking in my bathroom mirror
For the first time in years...
I did not have  tears...

As I examined my personal interior

Amazing... that I actually
have laughter lines appearing
around the corners of my mouth

Amazing that I'm not feeling like a piece
of shit today....

Finally... I'm seeing some sun
come from underneath those rain clouds
that used to be my eyes...

Finally...
I am speaking positivity from my heart
not just idle murmurings from my mouth

Finally .... I feel like
I HAVE conquered the world
when I leave my house....

Now I see the possibilities
instead of the problems
Finally I see successes is in my
hands...not just in my dreams

I now have a grasp
on EVERY good thing
No longer caught up in
confusion and spiritual poverty

No longer am I starving my soul
I am finally giving my spirit what
it needs to thrive & grow

Now I'm still a warrior
Always tried and true...
But it's my OUTLOOK on life
that has become Brand NU

There is a certain way of believing
that changes everything
There is a certain way of feeling
that makes your heart sing

I can see clearly now the rain is gone....
I can see all obsticles in my way
