Independence Day......
(…...11:30 pm, July 4th 2014 somewhere along the banks of the James River)
The eve of an ending,
Independence day
I celebrate my freedom
In a silent way........
…......sitting along the beach,
white sands shimmering
under bright moonlight
wishing upon an errant star …...
a prayer
whispered
into the warm night breeze
wanting you
to own all of me,
you alone
take possession of my heart
freely
in the distance,
rumblings from the sky
I hear the ramparts
bursting in air
and my truth through this night,
to simply hear you say
“you belong to me my love”
and in that moment
I give my all to you,
my declaration of independence
in exchange for.....
your kisses
the security found in your warm embrace
the touch of your hands
against my time worn face
your smile
feeling your desires of my flesh
and knowing in my heart
that my now is forever
and my forever is spent loving you.......
…..”we hold these truths
to be self evident
that this love we share
has no equal,
it is endowed by the creator
extending
from this lifetime
to the next”......
….freely and independently
I decree all my love
to you

It was beautiful and fragrant...romantic, adding the sounds of the breeze and tide coming in and out along the bay. Absolutely divine....
...and the feeling was simply, love. Missed and desired. There was this presence, this aura and it spoke to me the words of this poem. And inspired moment can appear at the strangest of times

This is clearly the best way to spend independence day -- in beautiful love and either thinking of or being with your beloved.... A very sweet declaration of love ♡♡♡
