Displaced Anthology
These self poems
are always shrouded with artistic fatalism:
a lack of clear presentation,
to rival an abstract picture
titled 'Upside down head'
that forever eludes understanding
though the inuendo makes some chosen few smile.
They smack more
of some half-remembered treastise on humanity
with words and ideas of a forgotten age
that maybe is romanticised and never really was
with a strange epochal lesson
about the threefold personality of one divine being
to which the relevance has slid sideways
into the obscure.
A displaced anthology over time
chronicling nothing important to humanity
but maybe one day
important to some one else.
Each one is a far cry from my
'Daily Dose' on the forum
and a far cry between each other
ill-fitting in representation
as if a lampshade was my cap and headgear
yet displaying some of my soul in each one.

those last two lines are especially marvelous. Gives me the image of a person who seems to be clowning around with a lampshade on his head, but is actually very bright with ideas.

Think of a mix between garfield in a lampshade hat http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mLnuu8rwCSuhZiWETX7TFIw.jpg and batman-nietzsche http://www.dead-philosophers.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Nietzsche-batman.jpg
With a lampshade and fancy dress its always party time.

This poem is a lot deeper than I could ever give it credit for, I'm not good at critique, but I think this poem speaks volumes to every writer.
well done, I enjoyed this piece....
now I must go and reflect.....:)

Funny how my self-wallowing poems have a habit of chiming with other people. Feel the depth, reflect and then shine please.

Well this is for the 'titles titles titles' competition. Wouldn't have been right without at least one of your poems in the reading list.

One thing I never quite thought I would be was something connected to humanity, your comment is invaluable, thank you.

Wow Viddax, right out of the ball park!
Powerful stuff you wrote here.
I enjoyed the structure of this piece as
I read effortlessly down the page, you seem to have natural talent.
This Scribe is a true story as I and most,
are guilty of doing.

Thanks, but it seemed I didn't win the trophy. Having comments seems a nice enough consolation prize.

I honestly just like taking part, having enough inspiration for a poem is a feat in itself. Though am I am rather choosy in entering.
Some of the most entertaining are the ones that don't end, but then there is no badge for those.

Very impressive. Some excellent language, imagery and phraseology. The relevance sliding sideways into the obscure is a fine phrase. Although you do not write with a regular rhythm you have the skill, or natural aptitude, it matters not which, to give the writing a natural flow and balance, so it escapes the clunkiness of far too many offerings on this site. And you slip in polysyllabic words with such ease. Question. Was the 'into the obscure' a deliberate verbal echo of 'They smack more' because it definitely worked that way for me - that's to be sure. Overall I liked the wry, and sly, sense of self deprecation.

It seems your eyes and skills are far greater than mine Magnus, as the 'smack more' and 'the obscure' was pure coincidence.
If you liked the wry and sly self deprecation and saw so much then the reward is a response that states such.

Fate and Determinism is enough talk for eternity, but what is near certain is how much we blunder into and along: about a yard!

"A displaced anthology over time

{I find the above merely intimidating but as truth itself.. am guessing this is what makes it a bit worthy, when
someone raises their hands & say 'I' too. Good piece of reflection for all of us love}

It is in that time that the value is shared and more than doubled, yet that day by the looks of it has been many. Only now is the wait for another to express joy in the book that is myself and my heart.
Better it is intimidating than the sombre tune it itself starts with, then fades into wistful optimism.
