Image for the poem Adagio...

Adagio...

a single lumiere
cast it's glow upon the night
center stage, I lay my hands upon thee
copulations to Adagio ,
a slow movement
in our moment of love........

...I hear a symphony

I press my fingers against your flesh
softly, we begin
does your skin feel
my gentle piano wind?
A long and winding melody
sings the soul of
an enraptured man
tenderly making love
to his muse,
the likes of no other
shall ever be...

Slow, sweeping arabesque
turning, spinning with finesse,
an elegant danse
hoping to stimulate
each and every perfectly placed
note composing our romance......

…..in common time

vivid, rich and brilliant
passionate shades paint an erotic gavotte
his baton undulates in strict rhythm,
dynamic contrast setting the tonality
of a sublime musical, poetic love
we make with our minds

….as this lilting melody plays
in a very familiar shade,
floating in air like sightless birds....

….ascending, descending blissfully
building slowly, approaching
the apex of their climatic flight
releasing unto the heavens their
mortal souls.......

….relinquishing all control....falling, fading

a la breve,
freely rubato,
winding slowly
broad rallentando,
fine........

….hearts applaud the night
a segue into the silence
of love's sensual 2nd movement

Adagio
