Image for the poem Sun has faded

Sun has faded

Standing in front of the strom door
Inside looking out
Trying to brave my own personal storm
It's waves pummeling me into its deep depths

Sun shining bleeding it's rays
It's a beautiful may
Dandelion strewn all across a green plus lawn
Heavy and shag, it sure can use a mow
Staring out into what I'm witnessing before me
Life passing bye

Staring into my eyes
She's cruel and mean, smiling at me
Just like death, there isn't anything that I can possibly do
But to smile back at her

I lean to my left upon the door
As it holds me up
Staring still as tears fall from my eyes down my cheecks
So much for keeping them dry
Softly singing hymns under my breath
Hymns from super unknown
Jesus' songbook, the acoustic is far the best

He walks upon my water
From out of the sound of his garden
Chris Cornell perpetually baptizing my soul
My spirit leaps forth as im being slain
From the inside out
Riding upon his waves
From deep inside, aloud I cry
Out shined!!!, out shined!!!, out shined!!!

-ADuarte

Whatsoever I feared has come to life
Whatsoever I've fought off became my life
Just when everyday seemed to greet me with a smile
Sunspots have faded and now I'm doing time
Now I'm doing time
Cause I fell on Black days
I fell on black days
How would I know that this could be my fate
How would I know that this could my fate
