Angst Town
Once, I thought that darkness conquered,
And once, mistaken when brought to light
Darkness was a slave to those who harbored
How rage is such a greatly bountiful plight
The dark is gone for houses remain lit
In a town of turmoil and dreary shadows
Where the wise knew and so they writ
“Flames light where the misery still goes.”
So as I pace forward with such a jocund grin
Knowing passion is present in angst town
Where the burning burns to cleanse sin
And pillars of pain in flames do burn down
And once, mistaken when brought to light
Darkness was a slave to those who harbored
How rage is such a greatly bountiful plight
The dark is gone for houses remain lit
In a town of turmoil and dreary shadows
Where the wise knew and so they writ
“Flames light where the misery still goes.”
So as I pace forward with such a jocund grin
Knowing passion is present in angst town
Where the burning burns to cleanse sin
And pillars of pain in flames do burn down
