All Things Must Pass
I've been here for almost a lifetime,
I don't always remember where I've been.
Spent my days on pain, dreams and wine.
But does it matter what I've done?
Does it matter what I'll do?
Live life close- eyed,
I met myself along the way.
Listened to free birds and let the wind show the way.
But does it matter where I've been?
Does it matter?
When all things must pass.
Love got lost, and then it found me,
then I felt it slipping through my hands.
I met a lot of friends in the shade of a fake plastic tree.
But does it matter who I loved?
Does it matter?
When all things must pass,
and nothing lasts forever.
The road is long,
but time is wise,
all our dreams will fade come the light.
The road is long,
but time is wise,
even steel dreams fade,
maybe, even faith,
'cause nothing lasts forever.
