Ask me who I am

Ask me who I am, I dare you.
I dare you because I don't think that you want to know.
If you ask me who I am you might just be surprised by the answer that you get.
If you were to ask me who I am, I would say I don't know.
When that is said and done, you would look at me like I'm mad
What would you do with a man who doesn't know who he is?
Would you run and hide, or would you ask the next question?

"Why"

I would look at you and smile.
I would ask you if you are sure you want to open that door.
It would be your last warning before the gate of a madman would be thrust open for you.
I would tell you that I don't know because there are so many questions that are left open
I would tell you that I haven't discovered who I am, and that I need to think about it
I would weave you a tale of a Grigori and a Man, a Nobody and a Somebody, a Demon and an Angel, a Philosopher and a Sophist, a Baby and an Ancient, one of the Powerless and one of the Almighty.
I would pull off the mask, and cower in fear as it reflects who I am better than any words
I would finally tell you about who I think that I am...
