A Trip Taken To Soon
I took a trip through time
I traveled a foreign land
Into to the depths of my mind
Touched by blessed hand
And through this journey faced
The trials of lost life
In the halls we paced
Forcing through our strife
Endorphins released
Strained and abroad
This life deceased
No existence of god
The proof is gone
Much like my pain
The travel long
But the distance the same
And these doors unlocked
This journey through
A man left shocked
His life anew

I can relate to the unlocked doors...I am recently widowed and have found that there are some doors opening for me now...some I never would have dreamed would be opened. "life anew"...just what I'm hoping for.

Sorry to hear about the widowing. Hope you might find some of my poems inspiring and I'm sorry if you find some offensive. I seem to batter religion quite a bit but that is just my way of expressing myself. I have no problem with people who choose to believe just how they choose to show it off. I hope these doors lead you to a better future like mine have.
