Mirror

A mirror can do many things
Like show appearance and expression
If we're happy, sad, or in between
And offer no protection,
But there's things the mirror can't see
Because a mirror is easily fooled
It can't look inside and see the person we want to be
A mirror is simply a tool,
If a mirror had the ability to look inside
Our hearts
The mirror would shatter and start to cry
The mirror's mind would be torn apart
From the people that pass it by,
A mirror's face is easily deceived
As is anyone else's
That's why all mirrors eyes retrieve
The same as everyone else,
Some people are good at hiding frowns and
Plastering on a smile
To hide events our ups and downs
And say we are happy for a while
