Anna Lee pt.1 American Tragedy
Daddy,
I just wanted to write and say
that I am doing good
they are trying to say that mom is crazy
but she's just misunderstood
I found a nice new trick for blankets
I just use my dirty clothes
I can no longer wear the shoes you gave me
They started bending back my toes
But you don't have to worry
I found some others in the alley
right where mama gets her medicine
but the shoes are marked with the name Gabby
I have to go soon, Daddy
Uncle Ted wants me to shower
I don't like it when he watches though
And I don't like when he calls me flower
I sure do miss you daddy
Will you write back to me?
I pray one day you'll visit
Love,
Anna Lee
