I return
I look upon all the stars,
Wondering just what we are.
What will become of this,
and what of this I will miss?
I think of my life before,
Before the time I was born.
How bad I must have been.
To acquire all this sin.
It is getting darker now.
I lay the razor on the ground.
I close my eyes and see,
The ghosts surrounding me.
They've walked with me always.
All the nights and all the days.
Soon I will walk with them.
She looks at me and grins.
But then her smile fades.
As my eyes begin to glaze.
She sees all the blood,
and I return to mud.
