Plummet

perched upon the ledge
a head full of
venomous imperturbation

The subdued coryphee
wails within her head
banging cobwebbed boxes
along the corridors of
her mind...

Futile  memories shoved up inside
soot and shadows

prove still destructible

to her
even with time..

daybreak overshadows the sky
eyelids sink shut

arms spread wide

flailing as though
caught under ocean tide..

Wind caught hair

thunderous roar

sky is not the ocean

and pavement not the shore...
