The Clique

The clique, thick as thieves,  
Speak as they want they love you,  
Don't they flee.  
 
 
I don't care, love me today, hate me tomorrow,  
It won't break my heart,  
Someone has to play the villian.  
 
 
Let it not be me bleat the sheep,  
I'll say what you want but please don't shun me,  
My soul is free.  
 
 
If I wanted popularity,  
I wouldn't have posted a poem,  
That was so personal.  
 
 
Keep the clique's posion apple,  
It's full of maggots,  
Take one bite and they wiggle and squirm in your belly.  
 
 
Pretty soon they start talking for you,  
Secretly laughing and manipulating,  
I say break free.  
 
 
The clique takes you under it's wing,  
The rules are clear,  
Wear what I say, don't stand apart.  
 
 
Put yourself away and dance for me,  
Puppet master pulling the strings,  
I love how you cause the dancers, to dance so macabre.  
 
 
I love being the villian,  
I'm finally free,  
Not pitted against another for popularity.  
 
 
Don't talk to me or do,  
It's all up to you but be careful,  
The clique, might just click you.  
 
 
End delete, funny to me,  
I'm laughing because my strings are dangling,  
Not tangled in a net where I can't be myself.  
 
 
I won't hang on your every word,  
Though you enthralled me,  
I'm glad my vision cleared.  
 
 
Hee, hee , hee,  
Puppet master you're so much fun,  
Click this one and the other.  
 
 
Make them hate each other,  
Mind games, mine fields, say something wrong,  
Click goes the bomb.  
 
 
I'm going to be me,  
I won't fit in a clique,  
I never did but really who wants to be stuck in that ditch?
