He takes a breath,
preparing himself to walk out the door.
Leaving everything
He ever loved behind.
he oaths to himself.
"Not coming back," he repeats,
"I promise."
Slipping his note.. softly under her pillow.
With a kiss of the cheek.
he's off to the world,
where everything he's always dreamed of
is possible.
