Two Free Spirits Lost in Broken Rules and Basement Darkness
As you smile your broken smile,
my abnormal heart races.
As you get lost in the scream,
you pull me away with you.
As you laugh crazily,
you brighten my entire mood.
As our observant eyes lock gaze,
you somehow tap into my atmosphere.
As you drop subtle hints and lines,
my damaged lungs forget to expand.
As your timid hands dare to touch,
my every aching muscle moves toward you.
As your every intricate word enters my ear,
my soul directly connects with yours.
As the music you create echoes around,
I wish only to get lost with you.
As you smile your broken smile,
I tear out my abnormal heart
and lay it in your timid hands.
