Your trust has been repeatedly broken and your spirit badly bruised
by lovers and brothers and so many others that were supposed to be there to love you
I understand you need time, and faith is so great if you are open and willing to try
but you may be old and alone, heartbroken, wondering why
I know you're well spoken, driven and smart
but not regarding matters of the heart
Your logic will endlessly fight it

I've alwayswanted someone, but
I didn't know exactly who.
My life became worth living,
when I found that someone was you.
No more drowning in my tears.
No more lonely nights in bed.
No more sadness and longing.
That part of me is dead.
I look foward to future good times,
and back on the ones of yesterday.
I love you more than I've ever loved anyone,

I haven't seen it for awhile
I walk down the road we walked,
I sit on the curb where we talked
You show up frequently in my dreams,
though I'm not really sure what it means
I always wanted you to succeed,
but I also wanted you with me
