These Are the Best Times
These are the times we'll remember
Long after childhood has faded away
Us against the world
Living life in an eternal summer state
These are the times
Of loud music
And louder laughter
Of late nights spent on the phone
These are the times of childish pranks
Inside jokes and laughter that never dies
This is the time of best friends
Creating the best of memories
These are the times of blossoming
Shedding the awkward cocoon
And finding out
Just who we really are.
These are our invincible years
Where being young meant immortality
These are the times of bravery
And yes,sometimes foolish stunts
These are the times of young love
And of heartbreak
These are the times of lessons learned
And of recovery and of growing stronger
These are the best times
The ones we'll cherish the most.
These are the times of our youth
That we will look back on in later years and smile
