Unacceptable
What is the price for admission into Heaven?
The luster of coin or sin times seven.
What must I pay to stand before the one true lord,
Must I sleep in his pocket or die by his sword?
Faith is measured in its weight in gold
Not in those who's prayers gone cold
Is Christ truly dead on the crucifix
Or did he really just suck the wrong dick?
Tell me the truth.
Why must we go forth blindly
Into a void built on words
To a world so unkindly?
Bleeding nightly on our knees
While voices whisper gently
To swing in the breeze.
Goddamn your godly blasphemy
As I walk this path before me.
Entitled and entombed in doom
To live my life in the gloom.
Unacceptable!
Candles burn and spurn the gold urn
While sitting, awaiting your turn.
And once you face the divine grace
The cup is empty and defaced.
Unacceptable!
Do you truly expect me to believe the lies
That pour from the mouth like bitter wine?
Can just speak plainly for us humans to hear
If what you is true what is there to fear?
Just tell me!
Stab my back, blade dull and rusted
Tainted with angels' tears
And innocent blood crusted.
Why must the father of light
Long for my honored coin
Is it a tax to take flight?
Why must we suffer for a lord
That knocks away pieces on a broad?
God built a world of vile strife
And set us against each other
Brothers with knives!
What horrible will he has shared
Into us, children of despair.
Look what happened to his own son
Branded a liar, thief and lowly scum.
Consider the source!
