The Reaper Waits
This is a revamping of Deadwolf's poem "Death Beckons" for the Re-write comp. Hope you like it. You can find his original work here:

THE REAPER WAITS
I can hear you all
As you struggle for
One more breath.
That, I give to you
As a homecoming gift
For the last breath
Is so much sweeter.
As soon as you're born
You begin to die.
That makes you mine
To do with as I please.
Your time on Earth
Are my good graces.
When the time runs out
You feel hope die,
The face of Death
Leads only to despair.
Skeletal hands
Guides to depression.
There can be nothing,
Oblivion,
Shadows descend,
Upon your deathly shroud.
The Reaper waits
To take you away.
