Thoughts: Life Just Is.
Trudging on an evanescent path
The shod feet ring to nothingness
a lonely tune on an odd evening
street lights unlit
shadow chased a silhouette
more felt than seen
thoughts on when and how
to reach the destination
and when reached, where
the gloominess yet embraced
would it let go
or be part of a written poem
who went after lost souls
so they could go home,
to live within hearts
who went after weeping spectres
turned into ghosts by indifference
no one did, mere shadows
ever pining for validation
turning into phantoms
in despair
so trudging on a thoroughfare
unheeded by spirits or mortals
hoping to ride on destiny’s tail
or hop on the wagon of fate
reach them who wait
within a sanctuary of peace
or maybe mere shifting light
towards another end
Perhaps one plodded on
the highway of life
only occasionally
creating history
on tattered parchments
once made and heard
to disappear on the halls of Time.
