Air seems to be heavier for some.
They seem to get crushed
by its unforeseeable force,
and that's the problem.
It's always the kindest,
The most generous,
The loving,
The ones you'd least expect,
Who feel the heaviness the most.

Nice gravity in the direct diatribe. I would suggest as a technique, a bit of scene description, let the emotions emanate from how you describe the milieu. My latest post has a lot of that sort of metaphor, for example.
