Memories Drowned Out By Life
The fading has started
I cannot recall, certain things
regarding him
it feels good
but I also feel a bit cheated
I liked the darkness of the memory
the dull pain of healing
kinda like pressing on a bruise
it hurts but in a good way
then it dissipates
but you push on it anyways just to see
nothing, it's gone
I cannot recall, certain things
regarding him
it feels good
but I also feel a bit cheated
I liked the darkness of the memory
the dull pain of healing
kinda like pressing on a bruise
it hurts but in a good way
then it dissipates
but you push on it anyways just to see
nothing, it's gone

I hate it when you wake up with those mystery bruises and you're like Wtf I wasn't even drunk last night but you can't help but make them just a little bit bigger cause they irritate you and if they're gonna be there they might as well look a pretty shade of purple ... Yeah those last few lines had me thinking that. I can't help but wonder what the relationship between you and him was.. cool piece.

Well written, Nikki. Had me checking for "bruises" but it seems they've all healed. Still, the feeling.. Nailed it.

What-Ever, Nikkimoe, this jerk did not deserve you, he wants to hurt you with goodbyes, no, good riddance, you are the greatest in the fervent eyes of most all who tread your words and deeds.

Darkness is comfy, but damn, it's a hammock-on-a-cruise-ship feeling when you can't remember that bad shit as much anymore.
Mindfulness is cool.
