Shredded

What am I doing here
Alone in a darkened room
Afraid to stir
From within the circle
Of comfort

What am I doing here
Alone within the confines
Of my prison
Encircled with care
Barred by love

Words of love
Hungry kindness
Embraces
Kisses
Whispers of eternal love

I have shredded my cautions
That shielded me
In the wilderness
I have burnt the bridge
Until the next arises.
