Light Show 2013*
I'll sit and wait for nightfall
in hopes of a light show
Reaching up as if I could
pluck them from the sky
When I squint my eyes
each star winks at me
In a blurred hurry flashes
fill a section of the sky
Wishing I could wrap the
streaming stars around me
Wear them like a bright
satiny ribbon
I gaze wide eyed so I
don't miss the next show
in hopes of a light show
Reaching up as if I could
pluck them from the sky
When I squint my eyes
each star winks at me
In a blurred hurry flashes
fill a section of the sky
Wishing I could wrap the
streaming stars around me
Wear them like a bright
satiny ribbon
I gaze wide eyed so I
don't miss the next show
