Beautiful Illusion

She ambles through my heart,
like an anarchist's brick through a window.

How can I protect myself
from the onslaught of her love?

She rifles through my emotions
like a bear on a picnic,

opens my thoughts
and licks all my dreams.

What am I supposed to do
when I see how she rambles

army ant tactics
and wilderness loss?

On the brink of total erosion,
I feel like a glacier, a global warmed beach.

Taking me down,
she lays out my body,

death and destruction,
my beautiful illusion.
